DIN1.6587/18CrNiMo7-6 steel Manufacturer and Exporter, supplied with
round,square,flat,block,and shaft etc.DIN1.6587/18CrNiMo7-6 is a low carbon,case
hardening (carburizing) steel which contains 1.8% chromium 每 nickel 每 molybdenum
as strengthening agents as per EN 10084. Characterised by high core strength and
toughness in medium to large sections with case hardness up to Rc62 when
carburized,
Alloy steel 18CrNiMo7-6 is a grade consisting of the addition of chromium,
nickel, molybdenum and coal with a range characteristic for all carburizing
grades. 1.6587 materials, unlike other simple steel grades, can be used for much
larger sizes and loads. This grade of steel is used for heavy-duty parts and
components subjected to high pressures and highly variable speed of operation.
Materials and derivatives are used for the production of special bearings,
bolts, gears, shafts, or rack-and-pinions. They are related grades of steel
according to UNI standards, having slightly narrowed content of Chromium, Nickel
and Molybdenum.
hardened and tempered, and it is also used in area of heavy and high strained
gear parts with high demands on toughness at core tensile of
1050每1350N/mm2.DIN1.6587/18CrNiMo7-6 is same as 17CrNiMo6 steel,generally
supplied in the annealed condition with a maximum brinell hardness of 229
(Rc22).
1.Application
Severely stressed components for mechanical engineering and automobile industry,
gear for mining, cement plants, power plants, mobile cranes and earth-moving
equipment, paper mill, sugar mill, marine, wind gear, railway systems, oil
platform, etc.

6.HEAT TREATMENT:
Soft Annealing: Heat 17CrNiMo6 to 650-700oC, cool slowly in furnace. This will
produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 229.
Normalizing: 850-880oC, air.
Hardening: Carburising: 880-980oC. Core Hardening: 830-870oC, water. Case
Hardening: 780-820oC, water.
Tempering:Temperature: 150-200oC
7.Forging:
Hot forming temperature: 1100-900oC.
8.Welding:
Pre-heat welding area to 250-450∼C and maintain this temperature while welding
with a low hydrogen electrode. Cool 17CrNiMo6 at a maximum rate of 100∼C per
hour. Weld before carburising.

8.Application
DIN 1.6587 | 17CrNiMo6 |18CrNiMo7-6 steel for the parts which require core
tensile strength and high hardness. Susceptible to the large seized parts with
high wearing resistance and loading such as: Heavy Duty Bushings and Bearings,
Cam Followers, Clutch Dogs, Compressor Bolts, Extractors, Fan Shafts, Heavy Duty
Gears, Pump Shafts, Sprockets, Tappets, Wear Pins, Wire Guides etc..
